Improper closure of the valve between the heart's upper and lower left chambers.
Mitral valve prolapse can develop at any age. It can run in families and may be linked to other conditions, such as infection and connective tissue disease.

She is a unique children's book author, who is a former athlete, professionally working as a consultant in a large technology company, with a PhD in Higher Education. While consulting, she focused on advancing inclusion, diversity and equity efforts while incorporating innovation practices in the public service industry. She unique experiences often motivate creativity.
